There is one person that you can help right now!
If you have a savior-complex, this one goes for you.
Do you have the pattern, that you go out of your way to help others, without them even asking?
Do you often feel tired, drained and empty?
I have good news for you! It doesn’t have to be that way!
Helping others, being there for them, when they’re not in their greatest shape is a very nice thing to do.
On the other hand, thinking, that you have to help them, otherwise they won’t be okay is based on a big misunderstanding.
There is not one human being in this world, who doesn’t have the innate capacity for well-being and a possibility to have insights. We all have it, we were all born with it. So nobody need you to fix them.
What can help though, is if you are able to hold a peaceful space for them. And so they can have those insights, that will make a difference in their lives.
That space can help, but it is not what does the job for them. It’s their own innate power and capacity.
So when you try and go out of your way to give them the “help” you think they need, you underestimate their own power.
And you abuse yours. You go out there, like you would go into a war zone, getting more and more weary from your everyday savior-trips. Into an imaginary war, where you feel like you have to take care of eeeeverything and eeeeeeveryone, because otherwise things will go shit. And if you are stubborn enough, and deaf enough to dismiss the signs of your own body-mind-soul, at a certain point you won’t be able to hold that peaceful space anymore, not even for yourself.
How you would be able to do that for others, then?
So first and foremost, take care of yourself. And when the time is right, and you feel like you can hold a peaceful space for another person, then do that. But not because you “have to”. Only because your own space is so huge, that can embrace an another person. And so it just makes sense.
Hang up that savior-cape.
The Universe is old enough to take care of itself.
Why not to just enjoy the ride, then?
