Breadcrumbs from the Rabbit Hole

Animals only suffer physical pain, humans suffer both physical and an additional psychological pain from the thought (verbal construct), “I should not have to suffer this.” – Robert Anton Wilson

Oh boy!

Those lovely Shoulds.

They are everywhere, eeeeeeverywhere.

And those Shoulds are never coming alone.

They are bringing their friends, namely But and Because.

And so the hell-hole party can start even before you would be able to realize….

You SHOULDn’t have to suffer like this.

BECAUSE:

– You deserve better, you tried your best, you wanted to help/support/random-kind-act.

BUT:

– Things didn’t go as you expected/shit hit the fan/random-worst-case-scenario.

And if you didn’t manage to excruciate yourself enough to wake up from this right ahead, and send the whole bunch of uninvited guests the-fuck-home, the True Heart of the hell-party will show up

…MR. WHY…

Oh, I know you know him well. We all do. It’s part of our human-experience-starter-pack.

And so now the complete “awesome-foursome” trashing your inner peace, contentment and well-being. All of them invited in by one single unattended Should.

And the more they are getting into party mood, the harder it gets to get rid of them. The harder you push, the stronger they’re rooting themselves.

And so you loose your shit, and you cry and scream and do whatever shape desperation is able take in that moment.

Finally you collapse to a quasi-quiet corner, completely exhausted….When you get back to your senses they’ve already left.

Relief washes over you, and if you are lucky, a half-conscious thought will pass by in your mind:- It might be worthy to keep an eye on Shoulds…

Then the thought vanishes and off you go, rushing towards the next hell-party.
