The best solutions for intricate problems are quite simple.
So when you so desperately want to connect to someone else, give a try to this:
Listen to them.
Listen and be curious.
Listen to them with all your might.
Listen with nothing on your mind.
Listen to them without trying to figure out whether they are right or wrong.
Listen to them with an open heart, try to get how they see the world.
Put yourself aside completely and let them to take all the space you would reserve for yourself otherwise.
Even more, let your self-awareness slip away, forgot about yourself entirely.
Forgot even that you had the intention to listen.
Just be all ears and eyes and then forgot you are all that.
Just BE with them.
You will get surprised how far just some listening can get you if you give it an honest shot.
